North Carolina Fashion House, Mehera Shaw, Reports Significant First Quarter Sales Increase Over 2005 Figures: Improved Sales Inspire Web Boutique
Carrboro, NC (PRWEB) June 20, 2006 -- Local fashion house, Mehera Shaw Designs, reports that first quarter sales were up 23% over the same quarter last year. Mehera Shaw experienced an average 38% sales increase in 2005 over 2004 and is pleased to report a continuing trend for the first quarter of 2006.
The increase in business has inspired owners, Mark and Shari Keller to introduce Mehera Shaw’s web boutique in mid June. The small, family-owned fashion house, was started in 1999 and is situated in the triangle region of NC. The Mehera Shaw line is a feminine, upmarket look with natural fibers, mainly cottons, in hand printed floral patterns. The focus is on natural beauty.
Designer and co-owner Shari Keller comments, “the increase in business that we have seen in the last year is very encouraging. It seems from customers’ responses, that we have been the great find tucked away in the Carr Mill mall in Carrboro, NC. We are developing a loyal customer base of women who appreciate fine cottons, natural fibers, and a sense of natural beauty through classically inspired styles. We are inspired by our increase in sales figures and feel we are offering what women really want: truly feminine clothing that is about natural beauty and personal expression. We will try to develop a similarly loyal customer base through our web boutique.”
For the future, Mehera Shaw is working toward a collection of organic cottons. Mehera Shaw considers itself a restoration enterprise: restoring a more natural way of living through the style of clothing and through the eco-friendly, fairly made way in which the clothing is produced. “We want to move fashion forward with not only feminine clothing, but with socially conscious ‘restoration wear’. We support and appreciate truly natural beauty,” says Shari. “We are developing styles suitable for an organic line.
